Training Video.
Train better.
Document better.
A film designed to encourage professional camera training for crime scene investigators across police stations nationwide.
Modern tools.
Better evidence.
Staffordshire Police worked with the University of Staffordshire’s Forensics and Photography departments to provide professional training in modern camera technology and the documentation of evidence.
Red Boots Productions was briefed by the Staffordshire Police Communications team to document the initiative and turn it into a clear internal film that could encourage wider adoption of the training across police services.

In 2024, Staffordshire Police approached the University of Staffordshire to collaborate on a new forensics training course aimed at integrating mirrorless camera technology into the force.
Why the training matters.

Practical.
Repeatable.
Professional.
The production followed the training as officers worked directly with camera systems, lighting and evidence-documentation techniques in both classroom and practical settings.
Filming across the University of Staffordshire and Longton Police Station gave the final piece both the educational context and operational grounding needed for an internal audience.

A film built to travel.
The finished 7m 05s film was used as an internal communications device to promote improved photographic training and evidence-documentation practice across police services.
Rather than operating as a simple recap, the film was designed as a practical advocacy tool: showing why modern camera training matters and giving other stations a clear example of how that training can be delivered.
